Rebecca J. Sanford is the author of The Disappeared, recipient of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association Rising Star Award and 2024 IPPY Award Gold Medalist in Literary Fiction. Rebecca grew up in New York and studied at a lycée in southern France before earning a degree in French and creative writing from Loyola University. She holds an MA in international affairs from The New School. Rebecca’s graduate research in Buenos Aires with the Identity Archive of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo served as the inspiration for her debut novel.
Rebecca is a chief human resources officer and a member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association, the Florida Writers Association and the Center for Fiction. She lives in Florida with her family.
