About Rebecca
Rebecca grew up in a small town in New York and studied at a lycée in southern France before earning a degree in French and creative writing from Loyola University. She holds an MA in international affairs from The New School in NYC.
Rebecca’s graduate research in Buenos Aires with the Identity Archive of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo served as the inspiration for her debut novel, The Disappeared.
She currently works as a chief human resources officer and lives on the Gulf Coast of Florida with her family.

Rebecca J. Sanford is the author of The Disappeared, recipient of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association Rising Star Award, the Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Literary Award, and the IPPY Award Gold Medal in Literary Fiction. She received her MA in International Affairs from The New School. Originally from New York, Rebecca now lives in Florida with her family.
