Rebecca J. Sanford is the author of The Disappeared. She grew up in New York and studied at a lycée in southern France before earning a degree in French and creative writing from Loyola University. Rebecca holds an MA in international affairs from The New School in NYC. Her graduate research in Buenos Aires with the Identity Archive of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo served as the inspiration for her debut novel.
Rebecca works as a chief human resources officer and lives on the Gulf Coast of Florida with her family.
